The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is giving ambitious students a second chance by opening late applications for a select group of high-impact programmes for the 2026 academic year.

    Programmes Available for Late Application

    Act quickly, as late applications are only open for the following four sought-after programmes:

    • Bachelor of the Built Environment in Geomatics
    • Bachelor of the Built Environment in Construction Studies
    • Bachelor of the Built Environment in Urban and Regional Planning
    • Bachelor of Applied Science in Textile Science

    These programmes are designed to equip students with cutting-edge, practical skills for thriving industries. Spaces are limited, so ensure your application stands out.

    General Application Information

    Before you start your application, please take note of the crucial details below:

    • Late Application Fee (for applicants who did NOT apply via CAO before):R470
      • This fee is mandatory for all first-time applicants to DUT for the 2026 intake during this late application period.
    • Change-of-Mind Application Fee (for applicants who already have a CAO number for 2026):R140
      • If you applied to any institution through the Central Applications Office (CAO) for 2026 but now wish to switch to one of these DUT programmes, you only need to pay this reduced fee.
