    Rola-Toyota Automotive Learnership 2026

    This learnership is a comprehensive training programme for an aspiring Automotive Apprentice, often referred to as a Learner Technician. Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, you will immerse yourself in the world of automotive repair and maintenance. The programme combines practical workshop experience with theoretical learning, all structured towards a single, prestigious goal: to mould you into a fully qualified, Red Seal-accredited Motor Technician. This nationally recognised qualification is your key to a rewarding and respected career anywhere in South Africa.

    Minimum Requirements

    Before you apply, ensure you meet the following essential criteria:

    • Education: You must have successfully completed Grade 12 or hold a National Certificate, with passes in both Mathematics and Physical Science.
    • Advantageous: If your studies included any automotive-related subjects, it will strengthen your application.
    • Attitude: We are looking for candidates who are energetic, show genuine enthusiasm for the field, and possess a strong desire to learn.
    • Interest: A deep-rooted interest in motor vehicles and technical, hands-on work is crucial.
    • Skills: You must demonstrate good time management, the ability to perform under pressure, and effective verbal communication skills. Please note that the primary language for training will be English.
    • Location: You must be living in Bredasdorp or the immediate surrounding areas.

    What You Will Do

    As a learner technician, your days will be filled with active learning and contribution. Your core responsibilities will include:

    • Hands-On Support: Work alongside and assist qualified technicians with vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
    • Administrative Accuracy: Diligently record the time spent on each assigned job task.
    • Procedure & Planning: Learn to thoroughly understand repair order instructions before starting any job, and develop skills in task planning and identifying the correct parts needed for ordering.
    • Commitment to Learning: Actively participate in and complete all formal training and development programmes that form part of the learnership curriculum.
