Mark your calendars! The closing date for applications is 06 February 2026. Walk-in applications must be submitted by 16h00, while online submissions will be accepted until 23h59. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure their application reaches the Department on or before this date. Late submissions will not be considered.

The Department invites suitably qualified graduates to apply for its two-year Internship Programme. To apply, follow these critical steps:
- Use the 2021 version of the Z83 application form, available from any government department.
- Clearly quote the reference number: DEE INTERN 01 on your form.
- Submit the completed Z83 form together with a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) only. Do not attach certified copies of qualifications or ID at this stage—these will be requested from shortlisted candidates.

This is a structured programme based in Pretoria, offering a monthly stipend of R7,860.38.
Who Should Apply?
The Department is looking for graduates in the following fields:
- Physical Sciences & Engineering: A Degree/BSc in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.
- Business & Administration: Qualifications in Public Administration, Business Management, Office Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
- Finance & Audit: National Diplomas or Degrees in Finance, Management Accounting, Internal Audit, or Financial Management.
- Social Services & Law: A Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or an LLB.
