    Entry Requirements

    General Undergraduate Admission Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate (NSC) with bachelor’s degree endorsement
    • Minimum APS scores vary by program (typically 24-30+)
    • Specific subject requirements for each course (detailed below)
    • English Home Language or First Additional Language at level 4 (50-59%) or above
    • Mathematical Literacy or Mathematics as specified per program

    Faculty-Specific Requirements

    Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences

    For BSc Agriculture & Bachelor of Agriculture programs:

    • Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) required
    • Physical Science and/or Life Sciences recommended
    • Minimum APS: 26-30 depending on specialization

    For Diploma programs in Agriculture:

    • NSC with diploma endorsement
    • Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (check specific program)
    • APS: 20-24 typically

    For Computing/ICT Diplomas:

    • Mathematics recommended
    • Computer Applications Technology advantageous
    • Strong analytical skills

    For Nature Conservation programs:

    • Life Sciences/Geography advantageous
    • Passion for environmental conservation
    • Fieldwork readiness

    Faculty of Education

    Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase):

    • APS of 26 minimum
    • Languages (English and preferably an African language)
    • Child development interest
    • Police clearance certificate
    • National Senior Certificate with degree endorsement

    Faculty of Economics, Development and Business Management

    Commerce and Development Studies:

    • Mathematics recommended for BCom
    • Strong English communication skills
    • APS: 24-28 depending on program
    • Interest in community development and economics

    Hospitality Management:

    • Customer service orientation
    • Creative and managerial aptitude
    • Physical readiness for hospitality environment

    Postgraduate Requirements

    Honours Programs:

    • Relevant bachelor’s degree with 65%+ average
    • Specific prerequisite modules as required

    Master’s Programs:

    • Relevant honours degree or equivalent
    • Research proposal required for research-based programs
    • Minimum 65% average in previous qualification
